Více o kurzu

Key topics include the construction and use of Theory of Change and Logical Framework Matrices, result chains, performance indicators, risk assessment, and contextual factors. The course covers evaluation approaches such as utilization-focused evaluation, the design of evaluation matrices, and formulation of evaluation questions, along with the selection of appropriate evaluation designs. Participants will gain practical skills in identifying data sources, applying data collection methods, designing sampling strategies, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, while considering ethical issues, gender aspects, and data protection. The course emphasizes hands-on learning through workshops where participants apply concepts to case studies, construct evaluation plans, and develop actionable recommendations. By the end of the course, participants will be able to design, implement, and critically assess evaluations of international development projects, linking theoretical knowledge with practical application in a professional context.

The main objective of the course is to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills to design, implement, and critically assess evaluations of international development projects, linking theoretical frameworks with real-world applications. The primary forms of teaching are lectures and seminars. Lectures provide the theoretical background, while seminars focus on the practical application of the concepts. During seminars, participants apply knowledge gained from lectures through hands-on exercises. They work in teams during workshops, analyzing selected case studies of development projects and designing their evaluation approaches. Teams present their solutions, which are then discussed and reviewed during the workshops. At the end of the course, each team is required to present an Evaluation Matrix/Evaluation Plan addressing specific evaluation questions relevant to their assigned project.
